SONGWRITERS DAY CAMP - work in the quiet, peaceful, natural setting of the Blue Mailbox Farm.  No fee, donations appreciated. Lunch available at a reasonable rate.  Call for appointment.

Once we have enough people, we will set the dates for the following activities:

MUSIC THEORY AND EAR TRAINING

3 TO 4 HOURS    $10

This class is designed for students and professional musicians at all levels to help in understanding the structure of music and recognizing these structures through ear training. Sharpen your music skills.   Minimum attendance 10 people.

PERFORMANCE COACHING SESSIONS

8 HOURS  $40 and up

Coaching for individual performers, bands, show companies, etc.  We will fine tune your act or show and prepare you for performances, recording sessions and even entire stage productions.  Extracting the best from your talent to gain the widest possible audience appeal. 

MUSIC DAY CAMP

FOR INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS AND BANDS

 $10 per person includes lunch (minimum attendance 10 performers or bands)

Each performer or band is asked to perform for 10 minutes showing what they feel is their best material, and displaying their most versatility.  After the performance, rating sheets are collected from all performers, and preliminary commentary will be given.  The intention is that all performers learn from the good and bad points of the others. 

Family and friends are welcome to attend and observe the activities by reservation only. They should be advised that this is not a public performance or audition and not to distract the participants who are trying to provide you with an honest rating.  IF HELD AT THE FARM, BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS !!!!   $6 per person includes lunch

PROGRAM 

9:00 AM TO 10:00 AM ARRIVE AND PICK UP RATING SHEETS (see Sample) FOR EACH PERFORMER OR BAND.  ORIENTATION, QUESTION AND ANSWER TIME. 

10:00 AM  TO 11:30 AM FIRST FOUR 10 MINUTE PERFORMANCES  FOLLOWED BY 20 MINUTE EVALUATION PERIODS.

NOON TO 1:00 PM  LUNCH BREAK (SANDWICH, CHIPS AND DRINK) AND OPEN DISCUSSION, EXCHANGE OF IDEAS. 

1:00 PM TO 4:30 PM  NEXT EIGHT 10 MINUTE PERFORMANCES FOLLOWED BY 20 MINUTE EVALUATION PERIODS.  

5 PM +   REVIEW OF EVALUATIONS APPLYING TO ALL PERFORMERS.

The activities above may be held indoors at a facility nearby or outdoors at the Blue Mailbox Farm.
